Workshop metrology

We can design measurement strategies, contact and non-contact scanning, digitizing for reverse engineering and much more.

Metrology LABORATORY

ACCREDITED TESTING LABORATORY COMPLYING WITH EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 STANDARD.
Using this lab and combined with our expertise, we cooperate with leading manufacturers in the automotive and aerospace industries across the EU. The Laboratory for Workshop Metrology focuses on metrological analysis of shape-complex and precision components, designing inspection strategies at various stages of development and production, evaluating measurement systems, digitization of components and samples for model creation.

Accredited tests:
- measurement of dimensions and deviations of shape and position

DESIGN OF MEASUREMENT STRATEGIES

Designing measurement strategies using cutting-edge technologies and software to minimize measurement uncertainty and maintain high repeatability and reproducibility of the process. In addition to the strategies, which are tested in the laboratory, simulations are developed electronically in Carl Zeiss Calypso software.

CONTACT AND NON-CONTACT 3D SCANNING

Advanced inspection strategies provide us with results with high predictive power. When non-contact scanning is deployed, the output can be a topographic deviation map. Several variants are tested, from which the optimal one is selected according to the customer's specifications.

DIGITISATION FOR REVERSE ENGINEERING

Prototype parts for which it is not possible to provide a 3D model for various reasons can be scanned to create a model compatible with CATIA/SOLID software, etc. which can then be reverse engineered. Used in cooperation with museums and archives, it is also used to digitize depositories and exhibits.

LABORATORY EQUIPMENT

CMM Carl Zeiss Prismo 7 Navigator

The Zeiss Prismo Navigator is synonymous worldwide with high-speed scanning and maximum precision in production environments. With a maximum permissible length measurement error of only 0.9+L/350 μm, it is ideal for meeting the highest accuracy requirements of complex components.

Taylor Hobson Talyrond 585 Lt precision roundness gauge

A device for measuring deflections in shape and position as well as for measuring linear and circumferential roughness. It also allows 3D measurement of cylindrical parts and their analysis. It is a machine of the highest possible quality with a deviation from LSCI of 0.015 +0.00025 μm/mm.

Hommel Etamic T8000 RC precision profilometer/roughness gauge

The Hommel-Etamic T8000 RC is a flexible solution for measuring geometric shapes and roughness and waviness of component surfaces.

Additional equipment

Length standards for calibrating absolute and comparative gauges. Handheld absolute and comparative gauges with 1 μm accuracy. Fixing kits for fixing and positioning complex parts.
